Da Nang proposes cooperation to send workers to Japan’s Musashino Group
DNO - Da Nang authorities have proposed a cooperation deal with Japan’s Musashino Group to send local workers to the corporation, following a meeting on February 26.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Director of Home Affairs Nguyen Qui Quy, discussed expanding cooperation in labour recruitment.
Under the proposal, Musashino Group would prioritise hiring Da Nang workers by skill and annual demand while ensuring their rights and benefits. The city also invited the corporation to invest locally to create jobs and support socio-economic development.
Da Nang has over 1.2 million employed workers, about 74% of its workforce, and has actively promoted overseas employment through supportive policies.
Each year, nearly 3,000 workers are sent abroad, mainly to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia, via about 350 licensed agencies, with Japan accounting for nearly 80%.
Founded in 1967, Musashino Group operates across multiple industries in Japan, focusing mainly on food processing and hotel-resort services. The food processing sector serves as its core business, with a network of 26 factories nationwide.
