The Ba Na Hills cable car, the world’s longest non-stop single-track system, covers around 5 km. The magazine describes the ride as a voyage through “lush primary forests and jagged mountain peaks".

Beyond thick jungles and rugged peaks, the journey also frames tourist attractions like the Golden Hands Bridge. The gondola covers the distance in about 25 minutes, taking passengers to the peak of Chua Mountain, best known for its French Village, Fantasy Park, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Alpine Coaster.

Topping Travel + Leisure’s list is the Hon Thom cable car in southern Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam that holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest sea-crossing three-rope cable car ride in the world. The cable car ride boasts surreal views of local fishing villages and colourful boats, the An Thoi archipelago, and coral reefs, over a journey spanning 15-20 minutes.

In addition, the VinPearl cable car in Nha Trang has been included in the list. Spanning roughly 3.32 km, the VinPearl cable car connects the mainland to Hon Tre Island (best known for VinWonders amusement park and luxury resorts). This cable car ride, taking about 10 minutes one way, frames scenic views of the sea.

The recognition from Travel + Leisure goes beyond a simple ranking. It affirms that in Vietnam, transportation itself can become a destination where every suspended moment between sky and sea is transformed into a priceless memory.

Other cable cars featured on the list are the Dagu Glacier Gondola in Sichuan, China; the Ngong Ping 360, Lantau Island, Hong Kong (China); the Langkawi SkyCab, Kedah, Malaysia; the Gulmarg Gondola, Jammu and Kashmir, India; the Singapore Cable Car, Singapore; the Yeosu Maritime Cable Car, South Korea; the Yokohama Air Cabin, Yokohama, Japan; and the Namsan Cable Car, Seoul, South Korea.
