Tra Que Vegetable Village's Cau Bong Festival 2026 draws foreign visitors in Lunar New Year
DNO - The Cau Bong (Good Crop-Praying) Festival officially took place at the Tra Que Vegetable Village in Hoi An Tay Ward, Da Nang on Monday morning (the 7th day of the first lunar month).

The event provides an occasion for residents to express gratitude to heaven and earth, deities, and the village founders, while praying for favorable weather, prosperity, good health, and abundant harvests in the year ahead.

Within the framework of the festival, village elders conducted traditional spiritual rituals, including a ceremonial procession offering tributes to the main ritual area, worship ceremonies dedicated to Than Nong (the God of Agriculture) and other deities, incense offerings at the tomb of Nguyen Van Dien, former Minister of War, and hands-on experiences such as early-year vegetable planting.

The Tra Que Vegetable Village is a renowned craft village tourism destination in Hoi An Tay Ward and Da Nang as a whole. The village has received numerous accolades, most notably the title of “Best Tourism Village in the World” by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in 2024.

On average, the village welcomes tens of thousands of international visitors each year to experience traditional eco-agricultural activities such as planting, fertilizing and watering vegetables, as well as enjoying dishes prepared on site using freshly harvested produce.
In 2025 alone, the village recorded approximately 40,000 visitor arrivals.
