“Rooftops”

In recent years, Da Nang has impressed both investors and tourists with a so-called "billion-dollar corridor" featuring a string of high-rise hotels, and office and apartment buildings, along the coastal routes in former Phuoc My, My Khe, and My An wards.

Along this corridor, at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Pham Van Dong streets in An Hai Ward, the twin towers called Times Square CT1 and Times Square CT2, standing 190 meters tall (52 floors), part of the Da Nang Times Square complex project, are considered as the city’s “rooftop” and the third-tallest twin-tower complex in Vietnam.

Opposite this site, the Wyndham Soleil Da Nang complex includes the 50-story Ethereal building, and the 57-story Nimbus building.

Notably, in 2025, many large-scale projects across the city were commenced. Highlights include the Thuan Phuoc New Urban Area project in Son Tra Ward with a total investment of VND 11,493 billion and a land and water area of nearly 97.6 hectares; the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort Complex project in Hai Van Ward with a total investment of VND 43,922 billion (approximately US$ 1.67 billion) covering 512.2 hectares; the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Ecotourism and Urban Complex project in Ba Na and Hoa Vang areas with a total investment of VND 52,000 billion (nearly US$ 2 billion) and an area of 806 hectares; and the Da Nang Downtown High-End Cultural Park, Entertainment, and Commercial - Service Complex in Hoa Cuong Ward with a total investment of VND 79,790 billion (over US$ 3 billion) spanning 76.92 hectares.

The Da Nang Downtown project is designed by a very renowned Italian architect, with its highlight being a 69-story building shaped like a traditional ‘Ao Dai’. This structure is set to become a key architectural landmark and a symbol of Da Nang’s development.

Unlocking investment resources

Recently, under National Assembly Resolution No. 259/2025/QH15, Da Nang has been granted additional priority projects to attract strategic investors.

These include several billion-dollar projects, such as urban railway construction projects with total investment capital of VND 30,000 billion or more, and coastal land-reclamation urban development projects with investment capital of VND 100,000 billion or more.

The city is currently attracting a series of large-scale private-sector investment projects, including the Lien Chieu Port with a total investment of approximately VND 44,000 billion, and an entertainment and resort park project worth around VND 80,000 billion.

Many projects are also being implemented to expand development toward the south, such as Chu Lai Airport, an urban railway line connecting the city center with Hoi An and Chu Lai, and others.

These projects are expected to strongly connect development spaces, form linked chains of urban, industrial, and service areas, and contribute significantly to promoting the socio-economic development of the city.
