New Lao Consul General in Da Nang extends Lunar New Year greetings
DNO - On the morning of February 12, Nguyen Duc Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Council, received Vonekham Cheuangmanivong, the newly appointed Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang.
The visit was made on the occasion of her official assumption of duty and to pay a courtesy call and extend Lunar New Year greetings to the city leadership.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Dung congratulated Vonekham Cheuangmanivong on her new appointment and affirmed that Da Nang highly values and actively promotes the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
He believed that, with her experience and dedication, the Consul General will serve as a vital bridge in advancing deeper, more practical, and effective cooperation between Lao localities and Da Nang City.
Vonekham Cheuangmanivong expressed her sincere appreciation for the warm reception from the city leadership. She affirmed her commitment to strengthening cooperation in economy, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
On the occasion of the New Year, she extended her best wishes to the leaders and people of Da Nang City.
