Discover colors, flavors and traditions of Vietnamese Lunar New Year at Furama Da Nang
DNO - From February 11 to 13, the “Tet Countryside Market” at the Furama Resort Da Nang invites visitors to step into a festive world where tradition, cuisine, and culture blend in a lively celebration of Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet).

Introducing traditional values to international friend
Spring in Da Nang comes alive not only with sunshine and sea breeze, but also with the vibrant spirit of Tet.
Marking its 16th consecutive year in 2026, the annual event has become a cherished highlight of the holiday season.
Inspired by the image of a traditional Tet village market, filled with colorful decorations, the aroma of festive dishes, and the warmth of family reunions, Furama Resort has recreated this cultural space in an authentic yet dynamic way, attracting approximately 700 - 800 visitors.

Guests can wander through a vivid folk setting featuring boats anchored along a river reminiscent of floating Tet markets, explore a traditional calligraphy corner where elegant brush strokes convey wishes for peace and prosperity, and savor signature dishes from Vietnam’s three regions.
From Ha Noi’s “bun thang” and Hai Phong’s fried spring rolls to Da Nang chicken rice and Hoi An’s “cao lau”, the flavours of Tet are brought together in one destination.
Lion and dragon dances, folk music performances, and traditional games further enhance the joyful atmosphere, creating meaningful experiences for families and international guests alike.
A large-scale seaside flower street at the resort’s entrance, open free to the public, adds to the festive charm, offering a vibrant space for visitors to capture memorable spring moments.
As Gentzsch André Pierre, General Manager of the Furama - Ariyana Da Nang Tourism Complex, noted, the Tet Countryside Market is not only a family celebration but also a cultural bridge, helping international visitors better understand and appreciate the spirit of Tet in Vietnam.

Connecting heritage with contemporary life
Earlier, on February 7 and 8, the Museum of Da Nang revived the spirit of Tet through its “Tet Market Fair” under the theme Spring Procession of Blessings.
The programme offered a meaningful journey connecting heritage with contemporary life, drawing large numbers of local residents and international tourists.
Visitors actively participated in wrapping “banh chung” and “banh tet” (traditional Vietnamese glutinous rice cakes at Tet), crafting clay figurines, printing traditional woodblock art, decorating red envelopes, and playing folk games.
A particularly touching highlight was the “Spring Wishes Path,” where guests wrote heartfelt messages of hope for the new year.

Through these initiatives, the Da Nang Museum reaffirmed its vision of becoming an “open museum”, a space where heritage lives within the community, contributing to the city’s ambition of building a creative, livable, and culturally rich urban center.
