Launch of an automated ticketing system in Hoi An
DNO - On the afternoon of February 9, the Centre for Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation, in coordination with the Vietnam AIAIVN Artificial Intelligence Joint Stock Company, introduced an automated ticketing system and officially launched smart tourism solutions at the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Site (Da Nang City).

According to AIAVN, the GenAI-powered multilingual audio guide allows visitors to engage with heritage information in a dynamic and personalised manner, tailored to their preferred language and individual preferences.
By simply scanning a QR code with their smartphones, visitors can enjoy step-by-step commentary throughout their tour.
The system is designed for the characteristics of the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Site, combining AI technology with local cultural insights to support heritage conservation and promote sustainable tourism development.

According to Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Deputy Director of the Centre for Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation, the centre plans to install 12 smart ticket kiosks with multilingual support, international payment integration, and on-site printing to ease congestion and improve visitor experience.
The system is also expected to expand to include ticketing for nearby attractions in Da Nang.
She also said that automated ticketing and smart tourism solutions will enhance management efficiency and service quality while strengthening Hoi An’s image as a safe, friendly, and sustainable destination and supporting long-term heritage conservation.
