University of Da Nang starts construction on five projects worth VND 1.08 trillion
DNO - The University of Da Nang held a groundbreaking ceremony for a number of projects under Sub-project 1 on constructing technical infrastructure and essential facilities for the University of Da Nang in Hoa Quy - Dien Ngoc.

Subproject 1, classified as a Group A project, has a total investment of over VND 2.76 trillion.
The project’s investment policy is approved by the Prime Minister and is financed through a mixed funding source, including a loan of US$ 98 million (over VND 2 trillion) from World Bank's International Development Association, along with nearly US$ 20 million (over VND 500 billion) in domestic counterpart funding. Of this amount, 90% is allocated from the central government budget, while the University of Da Nang is responsible for re-lending and counterpart funding of 10%.
The subproject 1 is being implemented during the 2021 - 2027 period.

Within the framework of the subproject 1, the University of Da Nang held a groundbreaking ceremony for five important projects, with a total contract value of nearly VND 1.08 trillion.
These projects are the Central Complex of the University of Da Nang; the laboratory block, lecture halls and internal landscape works of the University of Technology and Education; the lecture hall building and internal landscape of the University of Foreign Language Studies; the administrative building, lecture halls and internal landscape of the VN - UK Institute for Research and Executive Education(VNUK); and the academic buildings, cafeteria, dormitories and internal landscape of the Center of National Defence, Security Education and Sports.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of the University of Da Nang, affirmed that the project was of special importance in the university’s development strategy to become a high-quality training and scientific research hub for the Central and Central Highlands regions and the whole country.
The University of Da Nang pledged to closely supervise and coordinate with the World Bank, relevant ministries and departments, local authorities, consulting firms, and contractors to ensure the project is implemented smoothly in compliance with regulations, and completed early for effective operation and use, he added.
