Da Nang - Champasak effective cooperation promotion
DNO - On January 27, Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, received a delegation from Champasak Province (Lao PDR), led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee Souphap Thammahacksa, to extend Lunar New Year greetings.

At the reception, Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh thanked the Champasak delegation for their visit and Lunar New Year greetings. He briefed them on key outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress, the 1st Da Nang City Party Congress for 2025 - 2030, and the city’s socio-economic achievements in 2025.
He also noted that Da Nang has approved a cooperation programme with southern and central Lao provinces, including Champasak, for the 2026 - 2030 period.
Accordingly, Da Nang will continue implementing existing memoranda of understanding signed by the former Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City while incorporating proposals from Champasak and other southern and central Lao provinces into a unified and phased cooperation programme.
Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh expressed his hope that the special traditional friendship between Da Nang and Champasak would continue to be strengthened in a practical and effective manner, contributing to the Vietnam - Laos special solidarity.

In response, Standing Deputy Secretary Souphap Thammahacksa called for continued effective implementation of existing agreements and the signing of new cooperation accords, particularly in the fields of economy, tourism, trade, and investment.
On behalf of the delegation, he also conveyed Lunar New Year greetings to the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Da Nang City.
