DNO - Located in Hoa Xuan Ward, Duong Son, one of Da Nang's oldest and largest flower-growing villages, is entering its busiest period of the year, as more than 20 households carefully tend each crop to ensure blooms are ready in time for the 2026 Lunar New Year, helping supply the city with a rich and diverse floral market.

The Duong Son flower village glows under early sunlight.

Alongside traditional chrysanthemums, local growers are cultivating a diverse range of flowers, including marigolds, roses, gerberas, mokara orchids, and hanging petunias, which they supply to markets in Da Nang and nearby localities. As temperatures gradually rise, gardens are beginning to burst into colour, bringing a lively atmosphere to the village.

A lively atmosphere fills chrysanthemum gardens as growers prune buds, the final stage in chrysanthemum cultivation.

In recent days, farmers have focused on shaping plants, pruning buds, and strengthening stems in preparation for market delivery. For flower growers, the greatest satisfaction lies in seeing healthy beds bloom at just the right time, a quiet signal that the Lunar New Year is close at hand.
