Da Nang - Yongin cooperation in semiconductor and high-tech human resource training

DNO - On January 14, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh received a delegation from Yongin City (Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea) led by Mayor Lee Sang-il during their working visit to Da Nang.

Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh said that building on the 2013 friendship agreement, Da Nang City continues to pursue practical and mutually beneficial cooperation with Yongin, focusing on semiconductor and microchip human resources, high-tech investment, sustainable urban development, and tourism and cultural exchange.

Mayor Lee Sang-il thanked Da Nang for the warm reception and noted Yongin’s strong interest in the city’s smart city, AI (artificial intelligence) and advanced technology priorities.

He said cooperation will bring long-term benefits. In addition to their economic connections, Da Nang and Yongin have a great deal of potential to develop cultural, tourism, and sports relationships, strengthening linkages between the two cities as well as between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

On this occasion, Da Nang and Yongin formalised their friendship and collaboration by signing an agreement. The Da Nang People’s Committee also presented Yongin with a Certificate of Merit for supporting the construction of the Yongin Community Digital Library in Quang Phu Ward.
