The Festival of Light & Heritage in Hoi An Memories Land
DNO - On January 12, Hoi An Memories Land (Hoi An Ward, Da Nang City) announced the Festival of Light & Heritage 2026, a large-scale culture, arts and technology experience series taking place from February 17 to April 30, 2026.
With the theme “Lighting up the Culture of Vietnam”, the festival will debut giant lantern installations, drone shows and immersive experiences that re-enact the story of the ancient port of Faifo. Its signature highlight, the Heritage Panorama, recreates the prosperous 17th-century trading era with the Japanese Red-Seal Ship through large artistic lanterns along the Hoai River.
A major highlight will be the “Dragon & Phoenix Drone Light Show”, blending tradition with modern technology as hundreds of drones light up the Hoi An sky with symbols of prosperity and good fortune, bringing Vietnamese culture to a global audience.
The festival will run as a three-month cultural journey featuring Heritage Tet (February 17 - March 1) with traditional New Year experiences, Silk Week (March 10 - 23) honouring the Quang Land’s weaving heritage, and Ceramics Week (March 24–April 13) showcasing pottery through modern installations.
