Laos' Salavan delegation visits Da Nang for New Year greetings
DNO - On January 7, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council, Nguyen Duc Dung, received a delegation from the Salavan Provincial People’s Council (Laos) led by Chairman Siheang Homsombat, who visited and offered New Year greetings to Da Nang City.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Dung expressed pleasure in welcoming the Salavan delegation and briefed them on Da Nang’s socio-economic achievements and the city's two-tier government model.
He affirmed that Da Nang places high importance on cooperation with Southern and Central Lao provinces, including Salavan, and said that bilateral ties continue to deepen in a practical and substantive way.
Da Nang hoped both sides will expand cooperation across sectors to implement strategic directions set by national leaders and further strengthen ties in the coming time.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Dung conveyed best wishes to Chairman Siheang Homsombat and the delegation and extended warm New Year greetings to the authorities and people of Salavan Province.
Chairman Siheang Homsombat thanked Da Nang for the warm reception and welcomed the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, particularly between Da Nang and Salavan.
Salavan committed to further strengthening collaboration in areas of shared strength and conveyed Lunar New Year wishes from the Party, authorities, and people of Salavan to Da Nang.
