Da Nang's cyclo tours enhance urban travel experience for visitors
DNO - In 2025, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center and its affiliated unit, the Visitor Center, continued to strengthen distinctive tourism products that enrich visitors’ experiences, with the inner-city cyclo tour emerging as one of the most popular highlights for both domestic and international travelers.

Established in 2003 and gaining renewed momentum in recent years, the inner-city cyclo tour service has not only attracted international visitors but has also become a unique feature in the inner-city tour system.
The tour offers visitors a slow-paced, immersive way to explore Da Nang’s urban landscape. More than a sightseeing activity, the service provides a close-up view of local life, cultural landmarks and riverside scenery, appealing particularly to international tourists seeking authentic, eco-friendly travel experiences.
Ms. Park Eun Jung, a visitor from South Korea, said she was deeply impressed by the experience. She added that the cyclo tour not only allowed her to feel the friendliness of local people but also gave her a closer look at the urban life of Da Nang.
“I could enjoy the Han River scenery, visit iconic landmarks and engage more directly with local culture along a thoughtfully designed route passing the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the APEC Sculpture Park, the Bach Dang Street, the Han Market and Tran Phu Street” she shared.
Currently, the city’s Tourism Cyclo Team has 83 cyclos, mainly serving sightseeing routes within the city center.
The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center regularly organizes training courses on foreign languages and culture, particularly South Korean, for members of the Cyclo Team and staff of the center. The aim is to help them communicate with greater confidence and provide better service to international guests, thereby enhancing the quality of service and reinforcing Da Nang’s destination image.
To date, the Da Nang cyclo tour has been listed on many online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Klook, GetYourGuide and Kkday, expanding its market reach.
Among these platforms, Klook has recorded the highest number of bookings, with nearly 100 visitors in just over three months since the service was launched.
This positive signal indicates that the cyclo tour aligns well with the growing trend of free independent travel (FIT). Its presence on OTA platforms has enabled more effective access to international markets, particularly young travelers and independent visitors.
By combining traditional transport with modern service standards and digital promotion, the Da Nang cyclo tour has become a distinctive urban experience that not only meets evolving travel trends but also contributes to the city’s sustainable tourism development.
