Da Nang Museum turns into open-air concert hall, enchanting visitors on New Year’s Night
DNO - An enchanting musical evening unfolded on January 1 as Da Nang Concert No.2, themed “Endless Flow,” captivated residents and visitors alike.

The event marked a refined artistic opening to the city’s New Year 2026 celebrations along the Han River.
Organised by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and implemented by Trung Vuong Theater in coordination with the Museum of Da Nang, the concert attracted a large audience and quickly became one of the most distinctive cultural highlights of the New Year festivities.
Building on the success of the first Da Nang Concert, “Da Nang - Connecting the Future,” held in September 2025, the second edition transformed the forecourt of the Museum of Da Nang, facing the Han River, into an open-air performance space.
The setting created a rare blend of classical elegance and contemporary sophistication, where historic architecture met the flowing rhythm of modern symphonic music.
The concert was designed as a continuous musical journey in three chapters, symbolizing the uninterrupted flow of culture, memory and human emotion across time.

Part I, “The Flow of Memory,” opened with deeply emotive melodies that evoked timeless memories and enduring values.
Audiences were drawn into a reflective soundscape through well-loved pieces such as Moon River, Nightingale, a mashup of Yesterday and Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet, alongside My Heart Will Go On, Hotel California and Up Is Down.
Part II, “The Flow of Legends,” presented a compelling dialogue between global musical masterpieces and Vietnamese cultural classics.
Iconic international works including Carmen Prelude, To Love You More, The Winner Takes It All and The Phantom of the Opera were interwoven with Vietnamese compositions.
All were reimagined through contemporary symphonic arrangements, creating a refined fusion of national identity and global spirit.

Part III, “The Flow of Harmony”, brought the program to an emotional climax with music carrying strong messages of unity and humanity.
Performances of Korea’s folk song Arirang and others such as “We Are the World” and “Heal the World” resonated powerfully with the audience.
The concert featured 30 musicians from the vHz Strings Orchestra, Yellow Stars Band and Trung Vuong Band, alongside a choir and leading vocalists..
Included were Vo Ha Tram, Meritorious Artist Quang Hao, Khac Huy, Anna, Ngoc Nhung, Hong Minh and others.
Violinist Trinh Minh Hien and renowned host Nguyen Khang also contributed to the evening’s success.
As part of the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026, the event not only met the public’s demand for high-quality artistic experiences but also marked a strategic step toward establishing Da Nang Concert as a prestigious cultural brand and a distinctive tourism product.
It is expected to contribute to the city’s long-term vision for cultural industry development and international promotion.
