Destinations in Da Nang bustle with visitors on first day of 2026
DNO - On the first day of the New Year 2026, Da Nang enjoyed bright sunshine and clear blue skies, creating favorable conditions for sightseeing and tourism activities for both local residents and visitors.
Observed by our reporters, on January 1, 2026, many popular tourist attractions citywide welcomed a large number of visitors. These destinations were the Hoi An Ancient Town, the Bay Mau Nipa Palm Forest, the Marble Mountains, the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, the Sun World Ba Na Hills, and the Son Tra Peninsula, along with various parks and public spaces.
On this occasion, a wide range of vibrant activities and events were organized at locations such as both banks of the Han River, the Tam Thanh Beach Square, East Sea Park, the My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An Ancient Town, as well as museums and cultural centers. At the same time, tourism units and businesses rolled out numerous attractive programs and products to draw visitors.
According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 2026 New Year holiday (from December 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026), the total number of international and domestic flights arriving in Da Nang is estimated at 831, up 13.9% compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, domestic flights are estimated at 464, representing an 18.9% year-on-year increase, while international flights are projected at 367, an about 8.2% year-on-year rise.
