DNO - In just five days, a promotional video showcasing the heritage beauty of Hue attracted 1.4 million views on CNN, underscoring the appeal of a green, high-end destination to international audiences.

The majestic beauty of Huế’s former imperial capital has reached global audiences through a 30-second promotional film aired on CNN, featuring landmarks such as the Imperial Citadel and Emperor Tu Duc’s Tomb.
More than a visual showcase, the campaign strategically promotes the brand “Hue - a heritage city, a green, attractive and high-class destination”, with broadcasts across CNN programmes reaching viewers in over 200 countries and territories.
Within five days, the video attracted around 1.4 million views and 36,000 shares, reflecting strong global interest. Tourism officials see this as a “golden window” to turn attention to international travel demand.
The CNN collaboration is part of Thua Thien Hue’s long-term communications strategy for 2026-2030, aimed at building a tourism brand rooted in heritage preservation, green tourism and contemporary creativity.
As host of Vietnam’s National Tourism Year 2025, Hue has welcomed over 6.3 million visitors, a nearly 160% increase year-on-year, and the campaign is expected to further strengthen international links and reinforce the city’s sustainable tourism vision.
