DNO - The Japanese Film Festival in Vietnam 2025 is officially returning, continuing its mission to bridge the cultural and cinematic ties between Vietnam and Japan.

The event, organized by the Japan Foundation in Vietnam, is held in Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang from December 12, 2025, to January 25, 2026.
In Da Nang, the Japanese Film Festival is scheduled to take place from January 23 - 25, 2026, at the Metiz Cinema on September 2 Street. This promises to be a cultural highlight at the beginning of the year for film enthusiasts across the city and central Vietnam.
This year’s festival features 10 films of various genres, from classic masterpieces to contemporary, creative works that offer a deep reflection of Japanese culture and society. These films aim to cater to the diverse tastes of the audience.
The highlight of the festival is the opening film "Love Letter" by director Iwai Shunji. This romantic classic is screened in celebration of its 30th anniversary, with a special 4K remastered version making its debut on the big screen for Vietnamese audiences.
Other notable films include "Seven Samurai" by Akira Kurosawa, "Showtime 7 - The Dramatic News" (a remake of The Terror Live), and "Raging Team: The Formula & 7 Swindlers" by Shinichiro Ueda.
