Over 3,470 domestic and international flights expected for Christmas and New Year 2026
DNO - According to information released by Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport, a total of 3,475 domestic and international flights are scheduled to arrive and depart during the Christmas and New Year 2026 holiday period from December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
The number of takeoffs and landings is expected to increase slightly by 14 -16 flights, mainly domestic services operated by Vietjet Air and Vietnam Airlines.
On average, there will be 267 domestic and international flights per day. Of these, international arrivals are likely to be 792 flights, a 12.3% year-on-year increase, with an average of 61 inbound international flights per day. Domestic arrivals are forecast at 950 flights, up an estimated 18% compared to the same period last year, with 73 inbound flights per day.
In recent years, airlines have expanded their route networks, bringing millions of tourists, investors and business partners to Da Nang, thereby contributing to boosting the local socio-economic development and enhancing the city’s position on the regional map.
The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai Airport, and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2026 - 2030 period.
Accordingly, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in promoting new routes and maintaining flight networks, as well as reinforcing destination marketing and market information sharing, and improving the overall visitor experience.
