This marks a significant milestone in the national flag carrier’s European route expansion strategy during the 2025 - 2030 period, aimed at meeting the growing demand for tourism, business travel, trade and family visits between the two regions.

The inaugural flight, VN39, departed at 10:45 pm on December 15 from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and landed safely at Copenhagen Airport after more than 12 hours, bringing over 200 passengers to the Danish capital. On the return leg, flight VN38 departed Copenhagen at 10.50am local time on December 16 and arrived in HCM City later the same day, serving more than 300 passengers.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Copenhagen air service operates three times a week. Flights depart Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, while return flights leave Copenhagen on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.

The new route enables travelers in Vietnam to connect more conveniently with Denmark and Northern Europe, while meeting the growing travel demand of the Vietnamese community there, estimated at around 70,000 people. It is also expected to significantly boost the continued growth of Nordic visitors to Vietnam, which has increased steadily in recent years.
