According to Resolution 389/NQ-CP, recently issued by the Vietnamese Government, the additional places consist of four airports, 11 land border gates, and 26 seaports.

The four international airports are the Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai, the Gia Binh International Airport in Bac Ninh, the Vinh International Airport in Nghe An, and the Chu Lai International Airport in Da Nang.

Notably, the Long Thanh and Gia Binh international airports will start applying e-visa procedures once they begin operations.

Eleven land border checkpoints added in the list include Dong Dang in Lang Son; Lao Cai in Lao Cai; Tra Linh in Cao Bang; Long Sap in Son La; Nam Giang in Da Nang; Le Thanh in Gia Lai; Binh Hiep and Tan Nam in Tay Ninh; Thuong Phuoc and Dinh Ba in Dong Thap; and Thanh Thuy in Tuyen Quang. This brings the total number of land checkpoints offering e-visa processing to 27.

A major expansion is implemented at seaports nationwide, with 26 additional ports now included in the e-visa system.

These are Van Gia in Quang Ninh; Diem Dien in Hung Yen; Hai Thinh and Ninh Binh in Ninh Binh; Cua Lo - Ben Thuy in Nghe An; Son Duong in Ha Tinh; Gianh, Hon La and Cua Viet in Quang Tri; Thuan An in Hue; Ky Ha in Da Nang; Sa Ky in Quang Ngai; Vung Ro in Dak Lak; Ca Na and Ninh Chu in Khanh Hoa; Phu Quy and Lien Huong in Lam Dong; Ben Luc in Tay Ninh; Dong Thap and Soai Rap - Hiep Phuoc in Dong Thap; My Thoi, Hon Chong and An Thoi in An Giang; Truong Long and Giao Long in Vinh Long; and Nam Can in Ca Mau. With these additions, a total of 39 seaports nationwide are now authorized to accept e-visas.

Electronic visas enable travelers to complete the entire application process online, avoiding embassy visits or pre-approval documents. Compared with traditional visa procedures, the system streamlines procedures and significantly reduces handling time.
