‘Pho San’ Que Son (cassava noodles) joins 30 renowned brands at Pho Day Festival 2025
DNO - ‘Pho San’ Que Son (cassava noodles), a local specialty, and nearly 30 leading Pho brands from across Viet Nam, are gathering in Ho Chi Minh City for the Pho Day Festival 2025 on December 13 and 14.

‘Pho San’ Que Son is a well-known specialty of the Que Son region in former Quang Nam Province, made from cassava roots.
This dish can be prepared in various ways, most commonly as a mixed pho combined with ingredients such as meat, shrimp, fresh herbs, roasted peanuts, and tofu, or as a noodle soup cooked with snakehead fish or other types of meat.
The cassava-based noodles are pleasantly chewy, made from locally sourced ingredients, and represent a rustic yet highly appealing traditional dish.
In addition to ‘Pho San’ Que Son, this year's Pho Day Festival brings together about 30 pho booths from all over the country, showcasing the most distinctive flavors. Notable names include Pho Thin Bo Ho, Pho H'Mong Ha Giang, roasted duck pho, Pho Ta, Pho Nho Pho Nui, Pho Ngoc Linh Ginseng, Pho Minh Pasteur, Pho'S, Pho Tau Bay and Lac Hong Pho.
The festival space is designed in an open format, divided into five main areas: a commercial area, a pho stall area, a culinary experience area, an exhibition area, and a stage.
Each area recreates a different aspect of the journey of Vietnamese pho, from ingredients and cooking techniques to ways of enjoying pho and its role in Vietnamese culture.

During the two days of the festival, the organizers expect to serve about 20,000 bowls of ‘pho’, all sold at a fixed price of VND 40,000 per bowl.
At least 10% of pho sales revenue will be allocated to the “Pho of Love” program, which will cook and distribute pho to residents in flood-prone areas of Dak Lak Province (formerly Phu Yen), recently hit hard by natural disasters.
Pho Day is an annual event initiated by Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, with support from the Department of External Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association.
The event has been organized for many consecutive years with the accompaniment of Acecook Vietnam.
