Da Nang strengthens exchanges and cooperation with France
DNO - On December 5, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh played host to Mr. Soulier Eric Gabriel Michel, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities at the Embassy of France in Vietnam, during his working visit to the city.

Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the important role of the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam in fostering friendship and advancing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, particularly in Da Nang, which has been expanding international partnerships in recent years.
Introducing the city’s development orientation and potential, Vice Chairman Minh expressed hope that Mr. Soulier would continue supporting the implementation of educational projects, cultural exchange programmes, and initiatives promoting the French language in Da Nang.
He also proposed that France create opportunities for local officials and civil servants to pursue training programmes in France, especially in areas aligned with the city’s strategic priorities.

Expressing appreciation for the warm reception, Mr. Soulier affirmed that the French Embassy will continue to broaden cooperation with Vietnam, with a specific focus on strengthening ties with Da Nang.
He emphasized education and training, culture, and heritage preservation as key areas in which France seeks to deepen collaboration.
Mr. Soulier added that the French Embassy in Vietnam will further enhance its presence in Da Nang by supporting activities that connect the Francophone community.
The French Embassy also plans to expand academic exchanges and cultural initiatives aimed at reinforcing the Francophone network across central Vietnam.
