Da Nang leaders welcome ROKS Hansando training ship
DNO - On the afternoon of December 2, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, Ho Ky Minh, received the ROKS Hansando training ship from the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy, led by Rear Admiral Hong Sang Yong, on a friendship visit to the city.

During the reception, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh welcomed the officers and sailors to the city and briefed the delegation on Da Nang’s socio-economic development and ongoing cooperation with South Korean partners.
According to Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, the visit helps strengthen trust and friendship in line with the Vietnam - ROK Joint Statement on deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In defence and security cooperation, Da Nang aims to act as a bridge for collaboration between the two navies through training, experience sharing, and joint activities that support maritime security and regional stability.

Rear Admiral Hong Sang Yong thanked the city for the warm welcome and said the delegation is taking part in various cultural and exchange activities to enhance mutual understanding.
The ROKS Hansando, with 375 officers and sailors, is visiting Da Nang from 2 to 5 December, with a programme including courtesy calls, sports exchanges, and cultural-tourism activities.
Rear Admiral Hong Sang Yong and senior officers also paid a courtesy visit to the 5th Military Region Command in the same afternoon. Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong, Deputy Commander of the 5th Military Region, chaired the reception.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong expressed his pleasure in welcoming the ROK Navy delegation and wished them a successful visit that would further strengthen mutual understanding between the two armed forces.
He also briefed the guests on local defense and security initiatives that help ensure political stability and national security in the region.
