Da Nang’s economy records positive 11-month growth, with trade and services affirming driving role

DNO - As reported by the Da Nang Statistics Office on Wednesday, the city's key economic sectors continued to record positive growth, with trade and services reaffirming their role as the main drivers.

Specifically, the city’s total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November 2025 was estimated at VND 20,755 billion, down slightly by 0.2% compared to the previous month but up 18.6% year-on-year. For the 11-month period, the figure reached an estimate of VND 230,539 billion, a rise of 23.1% compared to the same period in 2024.

Wholesale sales of goods in November 2025 was estimated at VND 29,509 billion, up 6.4% month-on-month. During the January - November period, the wholesale revenue totaled an estimated VND 279,649 billion, a 10.3% year-on-year increase.

Revenue from accommodation and catering services in November 2025 generated VND 4,037 billion, down 1.2% over the previous month but up 20% over the same period in 2024. In the first 11 months of 2025, the sector earned VND 48,565 billion, a 23.6% year-on-year rise.

The city’s total revenue from the transportation, warehousing, transport support services, postal and delivery services in November 2025 stood at VND 3,325 billion, up 5.5% over the previous month. From January to November, the total revenue of the group reached VND 35,911 billion, up 9.9% year-on-year.

Other consumer service revenue in November was estimated at VND 4,783 billion, down 1.9% from the previous month but up 25.8% compared with the same period in 2024. For the 11-month period, revenue in this group reached an estimated VND 50,770 billion, a substantial 42.1% year-on-year increase.

Da Nang’s industrial production continued to maintain the growth rate over the first 11 months of 2025, reflecting strong signs of economic recovery. The city’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) was estimated to rise 8.4% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production across the city remained stable, with activities carried out in line with seasonal schedules and production plans.

Despite the impacts of storms and heavy rainfall that caused flooding, timely direction in production management and proactive measures in disaster and disease prevention helped ensure stable yields and output across basic sectors.
