Australia’s Lifestart Foundation gives kind support to Da Nang communities
DNO - The Australian non-governmental organization Lifestart Foundation, in collaboration with the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, has launched an emergency aid programme to assist local residents in overcoming the impacts of previous severe flooding and rebuilding their lives.
According to Lifestart Foundation representatives, the previous floods caused damage, directly affecting thousands of households, including many families supported by the Foundation’s Scholarship Programme for Outstanding Students from Difficult Backgrounds.
In response, Lifestart Foundation visited and provided both gifts and cash assistance to 50 families of students and university students impacted by the floods.
The initiative, valued at approximately VND104 million, aims to help students and their families quickly stabilize their lives and continue their education.
Ms. Karen Leonard OAM, President and Founder of Lifestart Foundation, emphasized that this activity reflects the organization’s commitment not only to education but also to supporting students in overcoming post-disaster challenges.
She highlighted that helping students resume their studies and regain stability in life is a priority for the Foundation.
Beyond supporting students and families affected by the floods, Lifestart Foundation has pledged to implement long-term plans to assist households in mountainous areas severely damaged by previous natural disasters.
Looking ahead, the Foundation plans to distribute an additional 200 gift packages, valued at 200 million VND, to families and students in difficult circumstances in Tra Giap Commune.
This ongoing support demonstrates Lifestart Foundation’s dedication to both education and community resilience in the face of natural disasters.
