Free health check-ups and medicine for Laos’ Savannakhet residents
DNO - A delegation from the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, Da Nang Lung Hospital, the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association, and Phu Minh Tri Company has conducted a programme offering free health check-ups, medical consultations, and medicine distribution in Sepon District, Savannakhet Province (Laos).
This activity is part of the project strengthening cooperation between Da Nang city (Vietnam) and Lao localities for the 2023 - 2027 period, helping residents gain better access to quality healthcare services.
During four working days, the medical team conducted screenings for respiratory diseases, lung and tuberculosis conditions; general examinations and ultrasounds; blood glucose and blood pressure measurements; X-rays and pulmonary function tests; and distributed free medicine and gifts to nearly 500 local residents.
The delegation also visited and exchanged professional expertise with Sepon Medical Centre to expand cooperation in training and improving healthcare capacity for Lao medical staff.
