Da Nang enhances global cooperation for modern finance development
DNO - In November, Da Nang organized many investment promotion and connection activities to strengthen integration and attract high-quality capital flows into the financial sector, thereby enhancing its position on the regional financial map.

In early November, the Swiss - Viet Economic Forum 2025 was held for the first time in Vietnam and Da Nang was chosen as the host city.
The forum served as a bridge connecting the Swiss financial community and experts with Da Nang to support the city in developing a modern, efficient and sustainable international financial center, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Switzerland cooperation relationship.
Following the forum, the municipal People's Committee and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, co-organized a seminar titled "Positioning and Developing an International Financial Center in Da Nang: Opportunities for Transactions and Investment".
The event attracted hundreds of domestic and international delegates, affirming the city’s orientation to become a pioneering financial destination.
From November 10 to 21, a delegation of Da Nang’s officials visited and worked with numerous financial organizations and institutions in Switzerland, Austria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Accordingly, highlights included two seminars themed “Da Nang - A New Destination for Fintech and Green Finance in Vietnam” in Zurich, Switzerland on November 12, and the “Da Nang: An Emerging Financial and Technology Hub in Vietnam” in Vienna, Austria on November 17.

Da Nang has also focused on developing high-quality human resources by coordinating with Vietnamese intellectual associations and businesses in Europe, the UK and Ireland to attract international talents to work in the city. This aim is to create favorable conditions for global financial and technology experts to join in the operation and development of the planned financial center.
As for its orientation for developing a hi-tech center, the city will lay an emphasize on upgrading infrastructure, expanding the space for innovation, and developing international-standard human resources. Priority will be given to attracting projects involving chip manufacturing, robotics, electronic components, artificial intelligence, and developing a technology startup ecosystem.
During his working trip in Da Nang from November 20 - 25, Dr. Urs Lustenberger, Chairman of SwissCham ASIA and founder of Lustenberger & Partners Law Firm, assessed that Da Nang boasted many advantages to become a new destination for fintech, green finance and a regional hub for innovation and high-tech development.
In the coming time, Dr. Urs Lustenberger as well as Swiss experts and investors wished to cooperate with Da Nang to build a legal corridor, attract investment and support local businesses in expanding into international markets.
