Exporters have pull out all the stops to enhance quality, safety standards and transparent traceability that are helping local products secure their place in demanding international supply chains.

One notable contributor is the Quy Thu Production and Trading Co., Ltd., based in Xuan Phu Commune, Da Nang. Specializing in coconut-based snacks made from coconuts, the company has recently expanded its footprint in South Korea.

In early November, its promotional activities in the country resulted in a new export contract, ensuring stable shipments throughout next year.

“Our production capacity reaches 1.5 tonnes per day. Our products are now sold in the United States, South Korea, China, the Netherlands and France,” said Director Le Thi Thu.

“Foreign partners have strict requirements for raw-material traceability and quality consistency. The biggest challenges remain securing stable input supplies and dealing with rising logistics costs”, added Thu.

Likewise, the My Phuong Food Co., Ltd. located in Hoa Khanh Ward is expanding its presence in markets such as the Middle East, the United States, Palestine and the EU.

Located near the major coconut-growing area of Tam Quan in Gia Lai Province, the company benefits from direct access to fresh coconuts, allowing it to retain the natural fragrance and crisp texture that give its coconut snacks a competitive edge.

Another strong performer is the Nhien Tam Food Co., Ltd. in Lien Chieu Ward, whose pomelo-based products, including crispy dried baby pomelo chips and pomelo tea, have reached customers in the United States, the EU, China and Japan.

To stabilize supply and pursue green production standards, the company has invested in a nearly 10-hectare pomelo farm.

According to Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, international buyers value Vietnamese agricultural goods not only for technical quality but also for the cultural stories behind products like pomelo, coconut, rice and durian, symbols deeply rooted in Vietnamese daily life.

Since early this year, a series of trade-promotion initiatives, organized both by authorities and by the companies themselves, have helped local producers clinch new agricultural export deals with major markets such as the United States, the EU, China, South Korea, Japan and France.

Agricultural exports have made a meaningful contribution to Da Nang’s 12.8% growth in export turnover during the first 10 months of the year.

Supported by proactive trade promotion and the advantages of free trade agreements, Da Nang’s agricultural exporters are enhancing competitiveness, boosting incomes for farmers, and advancing toward a more sustainable and standardized production ecosystem.
