Dutch enterprises explore investment opportunities at Chu Lai Airport
DNO - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Nam Hung recently met with a delegation of Dutch enterprises interested in exploring investment opportunities at Chu Lai Airport.

Vice Chairman Hung informed that under its approved master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, Da Nang aimed to develop of a synchronous and modern economic ecosystem and Chu Lai Airport urban area following the airport-city model.
The airport-city area will exploit urban spaces associated with the airport and aviation services, and at the same time, closely link with the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and the coastal development corridor stretching from Da Nang to Quang Ngai.
According to the planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, Chu Lai Airport is designated as a 4F-class international airport, with an expected capacity of 10 million passengers per year. The planned land area for development until 2030 will be more than 2,006 hectares with an estimated investment cost of nearly VND 16,000 billion.
In addition, the city aims to form an international logistics and cargo transshipment hub by 2050, with a projected capacity of 30 million passengers per year, and an estimated investment cost of up to VND 37,950 billion.
The city is currently promoting investment and calling for investors to exploit Chu Lai Airport in line with the approved master plan whilst forming an integrated economic and airport-urban ecosystem.
The city leader pledged to provide maximum support in terms of planning, transport infrastructure and investment procedures to create favorable conditions for investors.
During the field trip, representatives of Dutch enterprises highly appreciated the development orientation, planning and strategic location of Chu Lai Airport. They also showed their keen interest in the transport infrastructure connecting to this airport such as North-South high-speed railway, and Da Nang urban railway system.
