French navy ship arrives in Da Nang
DNO - The French Navy’s frigate Prairial, carrying 96 officers and sailors, docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port on Friday, beginning a six-day courtesy visit to the central coastal city.

The ship, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Wallerand Faivre D’Arcier, was warmly welcomed by representatives of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Naval Region 3 Command, the Military Region 5 Command, the Border Guard Command, and the Coast Guard Region 2 Command.

The visit by the Prairial has a great significance as the Vietnam - France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was established in 2024, continues to grow in various fields.
It contributes to strengthening friendship and mutual trust whilst promoting cooperation between the two navies.

During their stay in Da Nang, the ship's commanding officers will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the city, Military Region 5, and Naval Region 3, as well as engage in professional skill exchanges with the Vietnam People's Navy and the Vietnam Coast Guard.
The crew will take part in many sports exchanges and sightseeing activities, and learn about the culture, history and life of local people.
