Poland opens Honorary Consulate Office in Da Nang
DNO - The Honorary Consulate Office of Poland was officially opened in Da Nang on Thursday.
In attendance at the opening ceremony were Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Mrs. Joanna Skoczek, Head of the Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi, and Mr. Piotr Frieske, Honorary Consul of Poland in Da Nang.
The establishment of the Polish Honorary Consulate Office in Da Nang is a strategic step, reflecting the interest of the Polish Government and people in Central Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular.
The event marks a new stage of development in the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and at the same time, opens up many cooperation opportunities in the city’s priority areas such as investment, trade, tourism, education, digital transformation, innovation and sustainable development.
The Da Nang government is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for the Polish Honorary Consulate Office to operate effectively in the city and become an important bridge connecting the business communities, people and organizations of the two countries.
Poland was among the first Central and Eastern European countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1950.
Over the past seven decades, the Vietnam - Poland relations have been continuously strengthened and developed on the basis of mutual trust, understanding, and friendship. Significant achievements have been seen in the fields of education - training, trade - investment, science - technology, health and people-to-people exchange.
Many generations of Vietnamese students, engineers and experts who have studied and worked in Poland are now becoming important contributors to reinforcing the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
