The new investment marks a strategic step in the city’s technological transformation.
Implemented between 2025 and 2028, the project will be located on the second floor of the ICT Building’s Data Center in the Da Nang Software Park No.2, Hai Chau District.
According to the city’s People’s Committee, as the world enters the era of AI and semiconductors, computing capacity has become a critical factor in determining national and urban competitiveness.
Da Nang aims to position itself as the innovation and high-tech hub of central Vietnam, backed by several policies promoting talent development, infrastructure, and tech enterprises.
At the heart of the new initiative is a High-Performance Computing (HPC) system, which will serve as the backbone for AI and semiconductor design activities.
The city considers this not merely a technical investment, but a strategic move to build a foundation for technological autonomy and innovation.
Once operational, the project is expected to foster start-ups, attract investors, and connect universities in the region to support research and training in chip design and AI.
It will also serve as a catalyst for Da Nang’s broader digital transformation, helping the city strengthen its foothold in Vietnam’s emerging semiconductor and AI ecosystem.
With this initiative, Da Nang continues to demonstrate its commitment to becoming a smart, innovation-driven city that leads the central region into the digital future.
