Da Nang promotes cooperation with UK-based Revolut Group

DNO - During his online meeting on Thursday with the UK-based Revolut Group, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh praised Revolut’s potential and international experience in the field of finance - technology, especially digital banking and modern financial risk management solutions.

He pledged that the municipal authorities will create the most favorable conditions for Revolut to conduct research and implement cooperation activities in the locality.

Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh voiced his hope that once the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang officially comes into operation, Revolut will be one of the first international digital banks to be present in Vietnam, contributing to affirming Da Nang's pioneering role in developing a regional and international financial hub.

Mr Raymond Ng, CEO for Revolut in Singapore and Southeast Asia, shared the group’s strategic orientation for its operations in Vietnam and Da Nang.

He added that Revolut wished to introduce world-leading digital banking technologies and practices to the city in order to build a modern financial ecosystem, create high-quality jobs, and transfer global fintech knowledge to the local workforce.

Headquartered in London, the UK, Revolut is a multinational financial technology group operating in 41 countries.

Revolut Group runs a digital bank and financial app that serves 65 million individual customers, along with a rapidly expanding base of business clients.

Revolut is currently planning to expand its operations across Southeast Asia.
