Da Nang youth volunteers mobilized for post-flood recovery efforts
DNO - Hundreds of young volunteers across Da Nang have joined cleanup and recovery efforts to assist residents after prolonged heavy rains and flooding caused widespread damage in recent days.
Following the direction of the Director of the Da Nang Public Security Department, more than 400 young officers and Youth Union members were mobilized to join local police forces in cleaning up schools, offices, and residential areas across the city.
At severely affected schools and neighborhoods in communes and wards such as Dien Ban, Hoa Tien, Ha Nha, Vu Gia, Xuan Phu, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay, An Thang, Que Phuoc, and Nong Son, they worked alongside teachers, residents, and local authorities to remove mud and debris, clear drainage channels, and repair damaged facilities.
On October 31 and November 1, more than 1,500 Youth Union members and students from universities, colleges, and local youth organizations citywide joined efforts to support flood-affected residents.
Each university mobilized 200 - 300 students to form volunteer teams, taking part in various activities such as cleaning schools, medical centers, cultural houses, and community halls. Also, they got actively involved in helping policy beneficiary families, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, and disadvantaged households clean up and repair their homes.

On this occasion, the Da Nang Youth Union, in coordination with the city’s Labor Federation, the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs' Association, businesses, and benefactors, delivered more than 2,000 relief packages, including essential goods, food supplies, and financial aid, to residents in such affected areas as Go Noi, Dai Loc, Vu Gia, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon, and Hoa Tien.

In addition to emergency relief efforts, local youth organizations continued mobilizing social resources and working with authorities to ensure the safety of volunteers and the effectiveness of relief operations.
