Da Nang, Savannakhet reinforce cooperation in various fields
DNO - As part of their ongoing working trip to Laos, the Da Nang delegation, led Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Savannakhet Province on Thursday.

Hosting the reception for the Da Nang visitors, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Savannakhet Provincial Party Committee Phoxay Khaykhamphithoun voiced his hope that Da Nang will continue to support Savannakhet in promoting investment and exploiting the local economic potential in the coming time.
He also took the opportunity to thank Da Nang for fully waiving tuition fees for students from Savannakhet studying at universities in the city, He emphasized that this was an important driving force to help the province improve the quality of its human resources in the years ahead.

For his part, Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh stated Da Nang wanted to expand bilateral cooperation with Savannakhet Province in such spheres as trade, investment, education and tourism.
He suggested that the two sides continue to exchange experiences in urban management and development, and promote traffic connection projects in order to create more favorable conditions for people and businesses to enhance cultural exchanges and economic cooperation in the near future.

Also on the same day, the Da Nang delegation inspected the project to upgrade Vietnam - Laos Friendship Primary School to the Friendship Primary and Junior High School, managed by the Association of Vietnamese in Salavane Province.
Approved by the Da Nang People’s Committee in 2021, the project has a total investment of VND 7 billion. The two-storey school covers a usable area of over 2,000 m2.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh highlighted that the project not only contributed to improving facilities and the quality of education in the coming time, but also had a great significance in further fostering the close friendship between Da Nang and Salavane Province.
On the occasion, he visited and presented gifts to the Management Board of the Da Nang Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects and the Association of Vietnamese in Salavane Province.
