Da Nang industry maintains strong growth momentum
DNO - Da Nang’s industrial production continued its upward trajectory in the first 9 months of 2025, with the city’s industrial production index (IIP) rising 10.5% year-on-year, reflecting steady recovery and expansion across key sectors.

Textiles remain a bright spot. The Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation reported VND 4.2 trillion in consolidated revenue and VND 329 billion in pre-tax profit, fulfilling 83% and 91% of its annual targets, respectively.
The company expects to achieve VND 1 trillion in revenue in the final quarter, completing its yearly plan.
Despite headwinds in the U.S. market and tighter “green” standards in Europe and Japan, demand has picked up domestically and from China and South Korea during the peak season.
In the seafood sector, the Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Corporation recorded VND 943.6 billion in revenue in thr third quarter of 2025, up 18.9% from the same period last year, while after-tax profit surged 154%.
The improvement was attributed to stronger exports to Europe - US$20.66 million compared to US$12.57 million in the third quarter of 2024 and lower financial and sales expenses.
Chairman Tran Van Linh noted that proactive market restructuring and expansion into emerging markets helped the firm maintain growth amid changing global trade conditions.
In manufacturing, Da Nang Rubber (DRC) posted VND3.79 trillion in revenue, up 6.6%, while the Daiwa Vietnam Co. reported exports worth US$65 million, nearly reaching its annual goal of US$95 million.
According to the city’s economic report, mining showed the fastest growth at 42.9%, followed by electricity and gas production (15.2%) and manufacturing and processing (10.1%).
Production of key goods rose sharply: frozen seafood increased 34.4%, cement-based building materials 54.5%, and freight vehicles 65%.

According to Le Thi Kim Phuong, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, Da Nang is fast-tracking the development of Hoa Lien and Cam Le industrial clusters while supporting secondary investors to launch operations.
The city is also promoting programmes to help enterprises upgrade technology and production lines, attract investment in supporting industries, and expand renewable energy projects.
Da Nang’s industrial outlook remains positive, supported by rising consumption, export recovery, and an emphasis on sustainable and high-tech production, positioning the city as a growing industrial hub in central Vietnam.
