Vietnam ranked among world’s top 4 culinary destinations by Condé Nast Traveller
DNO - Vietnam’s cuisine has been named the fourth-best in the world in Condé Nast Traveller’s prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards, recognized for its freshness, diversity, and authentic flavors.
Vietnam has secured the fourth spot in the list of “The best countries for food in the world”, according to the Readers’ Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveller, a globally renowned travel magazine.
The ranking is based on thousands of votes from readers who were invited to choose destinations offering truly exceptional gastronomic experiences.
Vietnam’s cuisine earned 96.67 points, praised for its fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and balance of textures.
Condé Nast Traveler wrote: “We’ve all seen the lush scenes of stripy paddies in Vietnam, and so it’s no wonder that the ingredients here are some of the freshest around. Rice comes in all shapes and sizes – steaming bowls, delicate vermicelli noodles, paper rolls – but is always topped with locally grown vegetables, tender meats, and a potent herby scent”.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism emphasized that culinary exploration is an integral part of every journey. Each Vietnamese dish, they said, carries not only flavour but also the story of its people, traditions and landscapes passed down through generations.
Besides Viet Nam, the top 15 countries with the most attractive cuisines include Thailand, Italy, Japan, Spain, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Greece, South Africa, Peru, the Maldives, Colombia, Morocco, France, and Turkey.
In addition, at this year's Readers' Choice Awards, Viet Nam was also named among the top 10 “Most Attractive Destinations in the World” and “Friendliest Destinations in the World”, as voted by Condé Nast Traveler readers.
