Pacific Construction Group seeks cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang

DNO - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong chaired a reception on Thursday for a group of representatives from the China Pacific Construction Group, led by its founder Mr. Yan Jiehe.

Welcoming the delegation’s visit, Vice Chairman Cuong provided an overview of the city’s current socio-economic development for his guests.

He noted that Da Nang aimed to become a new growth hub of Vietnam. The city is currently leading the country in attracting tourists, and serving as a strategic gateway connecting the North - South economic corridor and the East-West Economic Corridor.

By 2045, Da Nang strived to become an eco-smart city, a free trade center, an international financial center, a hub for industry, logistics and innovation startups, and a livable tourist city of Asian standards, he added.

Mr. Cuong voiced his hope that the visit by the Pacific Construction Group will mark an important beginning step, opening a new chapter of cooperation between Da Nang and the group.

He emphasized that both sides will gradually develop smart, modern and sustainable urban projects, contributing to making Da Nang a dynamic, livable city in the region.

The municipal authorities, he affirmed, will create favorable conditions for the group to carry out research and survey activities, as well as connect with relevant departments and agencies in order to soon concretize cooperation orientations.

Mr. Yan Jiehe, Founder of Pacific Construction Group, expressed his impression of Da Nang’s systematic development planning, and its strategic vision and orientation toward building a smart city.

He shared that, the group is now orienting Vietnam as a key market in its regional development strategy.

The group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation with the Ha Noi People's Committee for the 2023 - 2027 period, with a total investment capital of no less than US$ 5 billion, focusing on large-scale transport infrastructure projects such as Tu Lien Bridge, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and Urban Railway Line No. 5 (Van Cao - Hoa Lac).

Mr. Yan affirmed that with its experience and expertise in urban master planning, smart city development, underground transport and metro systems, the Pacific Construction Group is ready to cooperate, transfer technology and share international experience to accompany Da Nang in its journey toward a modern, sustainable and regionally influential urban center.
