Viettel Post breaks ground on Da Nang Logistics Center
DNO - The Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for the Da Nang Logistics Center in the Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Da Nang.

The center will be built on an area of 8.6 hectares with a total investment of more than VND 722 billion.
It will feature three warehouses covering nearly 40,000 m2 , including a distribution warehouse for consumer goods, and fresh and cold products; a fulfillment warehouse for handling and managing e-commerce orders from receipt to delivery; and an automatic sorting center equipped with a Crossbelt Sorter system having a capacity of 9,000 parcels/hour, combined with AGV autonomous robots to optimize goods flow and operational productivity.
Notably, a smart management system will connect warehouse, order and transportation data in real time, enabling routing, load optimization and operational control.
Once operational, the center is expected to shorten operating time by 33%, and save about 348,000km of transportation distance each month, thereby reducing fuel costs and emissions towards a greener and more efficient logistics model.
In his remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Phung Van Cuong, General Director of Viettel Post, emphasized that the Da Nang Logistics Center is deployed on a modern technology platform where data is the language and speed is the core value.
He added that the project will connect manufacturers, retailers and e-commerce platforms, enhancing supply chain efficiency and optimizing operational costs and emissions.
“Viettel Post is committed to implementing the project on schedule and operating it according to green, digital and smart standards, contributing to improving the country’s logistics capacity and promoting the local economic growth” he noted.
When put into operation, the Da Nang Logistics Center will be an important component of the national logistics network. It will help enhance the operational capacity of the central key economic region and the East-West Economic Corridor, and promote the development of the digital economy and sustainable trade.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
