This is the 7th time Vietnam has been named Asia’s Leading Destination and the 3rd time as Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination, underscoring the country’s strong and sustainable tourism growth in recent years.

Alongside the national awards, many Vietnamese destinations and enterprises also earned top honours.

Hanoi was named Asia’s Leading City Destination and City Break Destination, affirming its cultural charm.

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) received titles for Festival and Event Destination and Business Travel Destination, while its Tourism Department was recognised as Asia’s Leading City Tourism Authority.

Hoi An (Da Nang) was named Cultural City Destination, Ninh Binh as Emerging Destination, and Vung Tau (HCMC) as Short Break Coastal City Destination.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (Quang Tri) and Moc Chau (Son La) won in natural categories, while Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) and Vietnam Airlines were honoured as top regional and airline brands.

Often called the Oscars of Tourism, the World Travel Awards celebrate outstanding global destinations and travel providers. Vietnam’s continued recognition underscores its growing international appeal.

With its iconic landscapes, such as Ha Long Bay, Son Doong Cave, Mu Cang Chai terraced fields, Phu Quoc beaches, alongside UNESCO-listed heritage, traditional festivals, craft villages, and rich cuisine, its harmony of nature, culture, and hospitality has built a strong and sustainable tourism brand.

In recent years, the country’s tourism industry has advanced rapidly, establishing Vietnam as a top choice for global travellers and a rising star in world tourism.
