Experiencing Co Tu culture in Bhohoong community - based tourism village

The Guol communal house at the village centre surrounded by four Moong houses, recreates the layout of an ancient Co Tu village and serves as a venue for community gatherings, guest receptions, and traditional performances.
Bhohoong, is home to more than 700 residents, most of whom are Co Tu. Over half of the local households still preserve traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and bamboo - rattan work. Visitors can try weaving, taste local cuisine, enjoy Tang tung da da dances, or join guided tours, crossbow shooting, and homestay experiences.
Bhohoong is among several Co Tu villages benefiting from Project 6 under the national socio - economic development program for ethnic and mountainous areas. Along with improved infrastructure, the project supports cultural preservation and helps turn traditional customs and crafts into sustainable tourism products.
The village preserves distinctive Co Tu traditions such as the New Rice and Solidarity Festivals, Nói Lý - Hát Lý (improvised oral art), the Tang tung da da dance, and bamboo weaving. Its traditional brocade weaving, recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, together with local specialties and nearby lakes, hot springs, waterfalls, and caves, makes it an ideal destination for eco - and leisure tourism.
Just a short distance away from the village, A Pang hot spring offers visitors a refreshing natural bath surrounded by forested hills, a perfect complement to the cultural experience.
