Ready to pilot 6G network at International Financial Center
DNO - Full 5G coverage will be established across areas designated for the development of International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, ensuring the capacity and readiness to pilot 6G mobile networks as needed.

This is one of the notable contents in Decision No. 3004/QD-BKHCN recently issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology on the plan to develop telecommunications and digital infrastructure to serve the development of the International Financial Center in Vietnam.
According to the plan, digital infrastructure will consist of 4 main components: telecommunications and internet infrastructure; data infrastructure; physical-digital infrastructure; and digital utility infrastructure and digital technology as a service. These are the most important foundations of a modern international financial center.
An international financial center requires digital infrastructure to be developed on par with the top 30 countries worldwide, featuring ultra-high capacity, ultra-broad bandwidth, universality, sustainability, eco-friendliness, intelligence, openness, and security.
The development of digital infrastructure serving the international financial center follows the principle of modernity, synchronization, security, safety, and efficiency.
In addition, telecommunications and digital infrastructure must be developed in tandem with essential infrastructure such as transportation, logistics, electricity, lighting, underground works, and other technical networks.
Regarding the goal, the fixed broadband network serving the international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City will be invested and deployed to ensure safety (with at least one backup line), uninterrupted telecommunications services, and diverse, sustainable connections.
At the same time, the plan ensures that 100% of organizations and users will have access at speeds above 1Gb/s. Also, at least a new international submarine optical cable line will be established with a landing station in either Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang City.
At least one new green-certified data center meeting Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) standards will be developed and put into operation in either Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang.
The Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure is ready for deployment in areas where the international financial center will be built in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
A blockchain network will be built in Da Nang to support pilot deployment of digital asset products.
Moreover, platforms that provide digital technologies such as IoT, AI, big data, blockchain, and cybersecurity as services, will be developed.
The above objectives will be implemented in the 2025 - 2030 period, or immediately after the Financial Center comes into operation.
