Da Nang strengthens cooperation with Italian localities
DNO - Da Nang will always create favorable conditions for Italian investors to conduct research, surveys, and business operations in the city.

Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Pham Duc An made the remarks during his reception on Thursday for Ms. Alessandra Tognonato, the newly appointed Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City
Aside from briefing his guest on the city’s economic development achievements in the first 9 months of 2025, Chairman An praised the cooperative and friendly relationships between Da Nang and Italian localities in recent times which have made many remarkable strides.
He also expressed his expectations that in her new position, Ms. Alessandra Tognonato will continue to encourage more potential Italian investors and partners to explore cooperation, investment and business opportunities in Da Nang.
The city wished to strengthen connections and cooperation in such spheres as education and cultural exchange, thereby enhancing mutual understanding between Da Nang and Italian localities, he added.
The Da Nang leader also underlined the significance of the upcoming Italian Days & Italian Expo Da Nang 2025, slated for November in the city.
He affirmed that as the first multi-industry trade exhibition held in Central Vietnam, the event will gather leading Italian enterprises and serve as an important bridge for enhancing bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

For her part, Consul General Alessandra Tognonato thanked the city's leaders for their warm welcome and expressed her strong impression of the local socio-economic development achievements.
She noted that the Italian Days & Italian Expo Da Nang 2025 will lay a strong foundation for deeper, sustainable collaboration between Italian localities and Da Nang in the future.
In recent years, Da Nang and Italian localities have established cooperative relations in various fields.
In January 2025, Da Nang and Genoa City signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting cooperation in investment, trade, tourism, logistics, education, culture, arts, and sports.
Currently, Da Nang attracts Italian-invested projects with a total registered investment of about US$ 1 million.
