As reported at the event, Da Nang is emerging as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic gateways for trade and investment, following the government’s approval to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ).

Strategically located on the central coast and at the end-point of the East - West Economic Corridor linking Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos, the city offers international businesses unrivaled access to both regional and global markets.

With Vietnam’s trade turnover surpassing US$637 billion in 2025, exporters are under increasing pressure to meet higher global standards on sustainability and traceability.

Da Nang’s expanding logistics network, anchored by its deep-water ports, the Da Nang International Airport, and multimodal transport links, provides the infrastructure needed to cut costs, enhance efficiency and strengthen supply chain resilience.

The upcoming Da Nang FTZ is expected to integrate special policies, high-quality infrastructure, and innovation-driven approaches.

This model aims to attract investment, create high-value supply chains, and support industries such as deep-processed agriculture, high-tech manufacturing, logistics, and cross-border e-commerce.

By linking directly to major shipping routes and international partners across ASEAN, China, Japan, S. Korea, the EU, and the U.S., Da Nang offers international investors a platform to expand trade with reduced logistics costs and improved efficiency.

Beyond infrastructure, Da Nang is shaping itself as Central Vietnam’s innovation and logistics capital. Regional cooperation initiatives such as proposals for a “Green Corridor” for agricultural exports and cross-border e-commerce hubs underscore the city’s ambition to move up the value chain.

As Central Vietnam’s “logistics capital”, Da Nang is moving beyond being a tourism city to becoming a dynamic regional economic hub.

With strong political commitment and regional cooperation, the city has the potential to become a driving force of sustainable growth and deeper global integration.
