Da Nang gears up for Asia’s largest Pickleball tournament
DNO - Currently, Da Nang and its coordinating units have completed preparations for high-energy matches of Asia's biggest Pickleball tournament.

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Cup 2025 will take place in Da Nang from September 30 to October 4.
Co-organized by the America & Asia Connect Co., Ltd. (AAC), the Da Nang Pickleball Federation, and FPT Play, it is Asia's largest Pickleball tournament in terms of a prize purse of USD 150,000, and record-breaking numbers of athletes and spectators.
According to the organizers, nearly 600 professional and amateur players from Vietnam and around the world will compete in singles and doubles events at the Tien Son Sports Arena and the Tuyen Son Sports Village.
Notably, the tournament will see the appearance of “G.O.A.T.” Ben Johns, a legendary Pickleball player with more than 150 PPA Tour titles in the United States.
In addition, other star athletes will include Tyson McGuffin, Zoey Chang, Zane Navratil, Kaitlyn Christian, Phuc Huynh, Trinh Linh Giang, Ly Hoang Nam, Alix Truong, Sophia Phuong Anh, Truong Vinh Hien, Yufei Long and Jonathan Truong.
The tournament will not only help develop sports tourism for Da Nang and Vietnam as a whole, but also be expected to further promote the development of the Pickleball movement in the city.
Also, it will offer a valuable opportunity for local amateur players to practice with some of the world's top professional athletes.
At the same time, the tournament will foster cultural connections and strengthen cooperation in sports, tourism, and trade between Vietnamese and international partners.
Variety of attractive activities
Alongside the official competition contents, the event will feature the Celebrity Cup where Vietnamese artists and public figures will showcase their pickleball skills while engaging with fans.
In addition, the opening ceremony of the tournament will include music performances, autographed gifts, a showmatch among PPA champions with the participation of Ben Johns, Phuc Huynh, Tyson McGuffin and Trinh Linh Giang, and another showmatch with Vietnamese celebrities such as Tuan Hung, Minh Tiep, Chi Bao, and Binh Minh.
Media and fans will have the chance to meet with athletes, experience Pickleball, explore sponsor booths, enjoy lively sports atmosphere and promote the image of Da Nang as an international event city.

October 2, 2025 (Thursday): Quarterfinals (all events)
October 3, 2025 (Friday): Semifinals (all events)
October 4, 2025 (Saturday): Third-place playoffs (morning) & Finals (afternoon)
Amateur Category at Tuyen Son Sports Village from September 30 to October 4
The opening ceremony of the tournament will take place at Tien Son Sports Arena at 7:30 pm on September 30, with around 2,000 attendees expected.
