VND 149 billion project turns Da Nang’s Han River into nighttime landmark
DNO - Da Nang in Central Vietnam, is set to illuminate the Han River with a spectacular VND 149 billion “River of Light” project, enhancing urban aesthetics and creating a new visual landmark for residents and tourists.

The project is scheduled to run from 2025 to 2027.
The initiative will install new decorative and architectural lighting at Nguyen Van Troi and Tien Son bridges, while upgrading artistic illumination at Thuan Phuoc, Han, Tran Thi Ly and Dragon bridges.
Four sky-facing laser lights will be placed on Thuan Phuoc, Han, Tran Thi Ly and Dragon bridges to create striking visual effects.
Additionally, 8 water-facing laser lights will enhance the surface of the Han River at key points along Thuan Phuoc, Han, Tran Thi Ly, and Dragon bridges, producing dynamic reflections that highlight the river’s natural contours.
The project aims to revitalize the urban lighting system, improve the city’s aesthetics, and contribute to socio-economic development.

By transforming the Han River into a vibrant, illuminated landmark, the city seeks to reinforce its identity as a modern, civilized tourist destination while offering residents and visitors a visually captivating nighttime experience.
Once completed, the “River of Light” will not only become a symbol of Da Nang’s innovation in urban design but also attract tourists, stimulate local businesses, and strengthen the city’s reputation as a contemporary, scenic, and culturally rich metropolis.
