Da Nang to host full-distance IRONMAN triathlon in May 2026
DNO - Vietnam’s central coastal city of Da Nang will host the iconic full-distance IRONMAN triathlon on May 10, 2026, announced at the press conference held by the IRONMAN Group on Tuesday.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that hosting the first full-distance IRONMAN Triathlon in Vietnam in 2026 will mark an important milestone in the city’s international integration and affirm its capacity to organize world-class sporting events.
Da Nang will prepare infrastructure and operational resources, as well as coordinate closely with relevant units to ensure the success of the tournament, thereby promoting the city as a modern, dynamic and attractive destination to international friends.

The full-distance IRONMAN triathlon will be held in parallel with the IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang, a signature annual event that has become a part of the city’s sports calendar since 2015.
Regarding the competition route, athletes will have to conquer three challenges, including a 3.8km swim at East Sea Park, a 180km cycling route along coastal and suburban roads, and a 42.2km marathon along scenic shoreline.
