LCP 2025 helps enhance Da Nang's position on global Esports map
DNO - The 2025 League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Finals Weekend is expected to elevate Da Nang’s status as a premier destination for the world's leading Esports tournaments.
Co-hosted by Riot Games, FPT Corporation, VNGGames, and leading Esports organizers, the 2025 League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Finals Weekend is being held at the Tien Son Sports Area in the coastal city of Da Nang on September 20 and 21.
This is the first time an Asia-Pacific League of Legends tournament has been held in Vietnam on the largest scale ever.
Since the beginning of 2025, Riot Games has restructured its competition system into five major regions, namely South Korea (LCK), China (LPL), the Americas (LTA), Europe-Middle East-Africa (LEC) and Asia-Pacific (LCP). The LCP format includes three phases: season kick-off, mid-season, and season finals.
Hosting LCP 2025 Finals Week in Da Nang not only offers domestic fans the opportunity to directly witness world-class matches firsthand but also draws international attention, contributing to promoting tourism development in the livable coastal city.
Previously, Da Nang hosted the regional League of Legends tournament in 2012 and 2016. Both events were very successful and attracted thousands of in-person spectators and hundreds of thousands of online viewers.
In addition to Esports, Da Nang has always been an ideal destination for organizing international cultural and sports events for many years.
In particular, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, the Da Nang International Marathon, and IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, have been successfully organized and have left a good impression in the hearts of international friends.
To do this, first of all, it must be reaffirmed that Da Nang meets the requirements of infrastructure and technology, and has enthusiastic gaming communities.
In addition, the city boasts natural beauty, hospitality, and local diverse cuisine.
On the other hand, the municipal government always pays attention and creates maximum conditions for units and businesses to organize large-scale regional and international events.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, LCP 2025 is an event of great significance in affirming Vietnam’s Esports position in the international arena, and at the same time promoting Da Nang as a dynamic, friendly city rich in cultural, sporting, and tourism potential to international friends.
“We believe that LCP 2025 will not only deliver a world-class competition for fans but also create momentum for the development of the Esports community in Vietnam, contributing to positioning Da Nang as a rising global hub for e-sports" he emphasized.
