Da Nang targets 11% annual GRDP growth, aims to become regional growth hub by 2030
DNO - Da Nang, Vietnam’s central coastal hub, has unveiled ambitious development goals following the first congress of the municipal Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The resolution outlines a sweeping agenda to transform the city into one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing economies and a pioneer in innovation, sustainability and digital governance.
In the 2026 – 2030 period, Da Nang aims for average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth of at least 11% annually.
By the end of the decade, per capita GRDP is targeted to reach US$8,500, while total development investment is projected to exceed VND 660 trillion (about US$26 billion), increasing 14 -15% each year.
State budget revenue is expected to expand by a minimum of 10% annually.
The plan emphasizes building a clean and resilient political system, advancing digital government, and shaping a modern, smart city.
It also calls for mobilizing private-sector resources, implementing special policy mechanisms, and promoting science, technology, and innovation as drivers of growth.
Furthermore, Da Nang seeks to position itself as a cultural, sports, education, and healthcare hub, as well as an internationally attractive tourism destination.
Looking ahead to 2045, Da Nang envisions itself as an ecological and smart metropolis, a regional free-trade and international financial hub and a leader in industry, logistics, and innovation.
With above-mentioned goals, Da Nang aims to deliver high living standards while preserving cultural identity, securing its place as both a growth engine for Vietnam and a world-class city in Asia in the future.
